Bara district lies in the tarai region. The head of bara district is "kalaiya".
The total area of this district is 1190sq.kmThere is one municipally and 98 VDC
Te climate of bara district is warm and hot in winter and extremly cold in winter. People 'they' grow food,crops vegetables such as rice,millet, maize, patato, brinjal,couliflower etc. Most of people they depend upon agicaltural and indristry too.
There are many temples in this district like gadhimai tample. GADHIMAI TEMPLE is very famous in this district and it always open the gap of 5year. people belive that when we pray from the holy heart then it fulfill 
our desire. many people comes from the country and out of the country to do worship by keeping lots of whishes and desires..and its also called by an indrustrial area Surya nepal company limited,Dabur nepal company limited, Hulas company,cement factory etc. And Many people have got the job oppertuinity from it.and there is an Airport in simara. Which provides lots of facility to people and tourist.
Most of peole are helpful and lobour specialy there are lots of farmer in bara district.and here is also 1 taal which name is Halkhoria taal it ia very famous in this district. and here is a many forest where lots of animals are lived in forest like tiger, Rabbit, elephant,Deer Beer etc
